Atlanta, Georgia, April 05, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Benevis, a leading provider of dental practice management assistance for dentists across the country, is proud to announce its support for the seventh Day annual Sharing Smiles Day on Sunday, May 22, 2022. Sharing Smiles Day is a volunteer event that provides a free day of dental care to uninsured children and their families.

Previously, Sharing Smiles Day provided dental care to more than 2,000 uninsured patients in 16 states. This year, volunteer doctors and staff from 21 Benevis partner dental practices will participate in the day of free dental care for uninsured and underinsured children. Dr. Jane Whang, DDS, Regional Director of Clinical Services for Benevis, said, “Today is a great day for our entire business. Our doctors, hygienists and other team members are driven by our mission and committed to providing access to dental care.

Tooth decay is the most common chronic disease among American children, five times more common than asthma, and is one of the greatest unmet health needs of children nationwide, especially in low-income communities. , minority and rural. “Tooth decay is one of the leading health issues for children in the United States today, and it’s one way Benevis and his partners are helping,” said Dr. Brad Bryan, DMD, vice- president of clinical operations for Benevis.

Oral health is also an essential part of overall health and quality of life for adults. Poor oral health can increase the risks associated with chronic diseases, including heart disease and diabetes. “There are too many families facing gaps in coverage or insufficient dental insurance. Share Smiles Day is one way we can help provide access to care in the communities we serve,” said Dr. Bryan.

“We want to help millions of people smile every year. Including children and families who may not have access to the care they need,” said Jaycee Wright, Benevis HR Business Partner.
